Everett "Joe" Le Jeune

Everett “Joe” Le Jeune, 80, of Bossier City died on March 24, 2025 at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Joe was born in Sulphur, Louisiana on October 6, 1944, to Wilson Joseph and Melba (Hoffpauir) Le Jeune. After graduation from Sulphur High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as an aircraft mechanic in Cuba. Upon his honorable discharge after three years of service he worked for Lockheed Martin in Lake Charles. He later decided to pursue an education and enrolled at McNeese State University in Lake Charles where earned a degree in Agronomy. Joe was recruited out of college to work for the USDA traveling throughout the south as a crop adjustor and was later approached by Crop Hill, where he worked until his late 40s. From the age of 49 until his retirement he worked in the Department of Forestry and Land Management at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City.

Joe loved the outdoors and could be found spending time golfing, fishing, hunting; but his true passion was his children and grandchildren. He was a kind, caring and compassionate man.

He is survived by his loving wife Sue; children Joel and Chris; grandchildren: Kassie, Maddie, Amelia, Savannah; his siblings Alice Marie Nunez, Terry (Debbie) Le Jeune, Karen Sue Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA.
