Emma Beasley

Emma Bibb Beasley (Mrs. G. Carroll Beasley, Sr.) Shreveport, LA. Emma Bibb Beasley, 93, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Charlottesville, Va. on July 27, 1917, one of three children. Emma was a fun loving person, who loved to travel, play Bingo and cook for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband for over 60 years, George Carroll Beasley, Sr., her parents James Woody Bibb and Elizabeth Mae Bibb, her brothers Thomas ?Mason? Bibb and James Price Bibb of Charlottesville, Va. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Eleanor Gautney of Shreveport, La.; her sons, George C. Beasley, Jr. and wife Carol of El Segundo, Ca and Alan Dale Beasley of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren, David Young and wife Gena, Damian Beasley and partner Shane Stewart, Joel Beasley and wife Danielle, and Brandy Gautney; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews residing in Charlottesville, Va., special friends Dorothy, Katie, Lisa & Alice Poss, Weyman Wart, Gena Marie & Nick Gorman, Racheal Meade, Dean Bass, Luci Anderson, Jewel Rushing, Carol Foster, Maurice & Benny Beckham and Kathy Kennington. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. ?Mom, know that we miss you already and will love you forever.?
