Shreveport, LA ? Funeral services for Elvia Ray McCann will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care. The family will receive friends starting at 1:30 to service time on Sunday. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery West. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Scott and Rev. Brent Schoalmire. Ray was born January 7, 1918 in Quitman, Louisiana to Laura and Bill McCann and passed away peacefully in Shreveport on December 2, 2010. Preceding in death was his wife of 59 years, Leone Agnes Ostendorf McCann; two brothers, and one sister. Left to cherish his memories are children; Connie Borland and husband Ken, Jerry McCann and wife JeanAnn, Linda Glover and husband Jim, Tom McCann and wife Evelyn, Pat McCann and wife Camilla; 19 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and brother, W. C. McCann (Dub). Serving as pallbearers will be Cory Van Ness, Micah McCann, Kris Pietz, Brad Pietz, Dylan McCann and Justin May. Honorary pallbearers are all of his grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Memorials can be made to St. Jude?s Children?s hospital or charity of choice. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for their care and love during this time and especially Charlotte.
