Ellis Rogers

Bossier City, LA- Graveside services for Ellis N. Rogers, age 82 will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at the NW Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery, with military honors. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Hoover. Visitation will be at Boone Funeral Home Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mr. Rogers passed away Monday, August 25, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born January 5, 1926, in Fort Meyers, FL to Eli and Elizabeth Rogers.Ellis served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a huge fan of John Wayne movies, and loved to fish. But the most important thing in the world to him was his family. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his daughter; Linda Marie Thomason. Left to cherish his memory are his five sons; Will Rogers and wife Tereasa, Larry Rogers and wife Diane, David Rogers, Elliot Rogers, Sonny Rogers, one daughter; Jane Willhite, 16 Grandchildren, and 19 Great-Grandchildren.
