Edward Lovelle Evans

Edward Lovelle Evans 85, of Bossier City Louisiana, passed from this life and went to be with his wife on May 26^th, 2024 in Caddo Parish Louisiana. He was born December 22nd, 1938 in West Monroe, Louisiana to Silas Graham Evans and Aline Morris Evans. Lovelle lived in the Monroe area throughout his childhood and later he moved to and settled in Bossier City with his wife Donna.

Lovelle is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Donna Celeste Allen Evans; parents Silas Graham Evans and Aline Morris Evans; his brother Silas Graham Evans Jr., sisters Mary Evans Jiles Bolar , Ezzie Lee Neathery, and Everlena Evans.

Lovelle is survived by his sons, Thomas Edward Evans, wife Patti; Edward Lovelle Evans, Jr., wife Mary; Charles Wayne Evans and wife Marnyce. Brothers Melvin Evans, Archie Evans and Wayne Evans and Sister Geraldine Evans Rowland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Lovelle married Donna Celeste Allen Evans on April 4^th, 1962 in Monroe Louisiana and they had three sons. Lovelle worked at Bud & Bob Motor Shop as a mechanic for most of his adult life. In his younger days Lovelle was an avid raccoon hunter, spending many nights in the woods with his favorite coon dogs, children, family and friends. He raised almost any animal you could think of on a small lot in town but chickens was his specialty. Lovelle was never wealthy in a financial sense but he had a way to attract people and had more friends than you could imagine. 

Dad, we will miss you but we know that you are now reunited with Mom.   You are now in the presence of your heavenly father and as is written in Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away”.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am Saturday June 22nd, 2024, at South Bossier Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Zeigler officiating.
