Edna Sheppard, 95, of Rocky Mount, a devout Christian, passed peacefully on July 27, 2024. She was born July 16, 1929, in Noble AR, to James and Edna Quigley. She grew up in Rocky Mount, LA and worked as a seamstress. She worked at the Northwest LA State School until retirement. After retirement she became a homemaker that enjoyed cooking, canning, crocheting, camping, and also traveling to Branson MO with the love of her life JB Sheppard. Edna had a love for music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano.
She is preceded in death by her husband JB, son Jimmy Ray Sheppard, daughter Patricia Peterson, and granddaughter Jennifer Sheppard.
Left to cherish her memories are son-in-law Howard Peterson (Shera), grandchildren Sheri Green (Jerry), Tim Peterson (Tammie), Tina Ta (Luc), Angie Peterson, and sixteen great-grandchildren, and twenty-six great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Manor Bossier for the care of "Momma Edna" as she lived out her last days reminiscing about earlier days and eating Captain D's, Griff's, ice cream, chicken and dumplings, and chicken and dressing.
