Doris Lynn Grayson-Johnson

Doris Lynn Grayson-Johnson, 72, of Bossier City, LA, passed away on September 29, 2022.

Doris was born in Shreveport, LA, on June 23, 1950.  She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and continued to receive a Bachelor’s degree of Arts and Communications from Centenary College.

Doris worked as a school teacher for Caddo Parish School Board for twenty-four years.  She enjoyed singing, entertaining, teaching, playwriting, and acting.  Doris performed and produced her own music and would perform live with her musical friends.  She was a part of many organizations, and musical groups throughout her lifetime.  She also enjoyed teaching at the Shreveport Performing Arts.   Doris had a passion for entertaining others through her own expressions of Arts.

Doris is survived by Curtis Johnson, Sonya Thomas, Latina Thomas, Devin Palmer, Aniya Palmer, Tiffany Thomas-Harris (Howard), Savarra Thomas, Askari Thomas, Kendrick Thomas, Krysten Thomas, Patrick Fisher Jr, Brittany Robinson (Eric), Adrian Allen, Jermaine Thomas, Ariel Allen, Tiya Thomas, Trey Robinson, Delores Maxine Grayson (June Nicholas), Teresa Henry, Aubrey Lynn English, Anthony Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Mya Fisher, Brandy Williams, Portia Patterson, Theron Grayson, Cheryl Brown, Teresa Henry, Patricia Anderson, Michael Polk, Roxanne Jones, Keisha Brown McManus and other family and friends.

Doris is preceded in death by her Parents, Herman Grayson and Mable Grayson.

The funeral service will be held at Boone Funeral Home at 11:00 am October 7,2022.  Anthony Bernard Kimble of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church will be officiating, Visitation will be held at 4:00 to 6;00, October 6,2022 at Boone Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the funeral at Lincoln Memorial Park at 12:00 pm.
