David H. Madden, 68, left this earth peacefully with his family by his side to join our Heavenly Father and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 06, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 05, 1956 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Reed and Patsy Madden. There is comfort and peace knowing he is rejoicing in Heaven with a new body after shedding the bonds of his earthly one. We rejoice with him, “For when we were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4
David was a man who was full of energy and known for his boldness and quick wit. He had a knack for lighting up any room he entered. Any stranger he met was not a stranger for long. He was caring, unselfish, empathetic, loved people and was always willing to help others. David's zest for life was contagious, from the laughter he shared with family to the excitement and enjoyment of a casino floor. His “call me and call me now” messages will surely be missed. With his loyal fur baby named Jojo at his side David’s love knew no bounds. Most of all, David took pride in his children and grandchildren. He found immense joy in the company of his daughter Tina and son Joshua, whether it be sharing laughter at the casino or spending time at home. His bond with his children and grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness.
David is survived by his daughter, Tina Madden and spouse Jeffrey, of Ringgold, Louisiana; son Joshua Madden and wife Alyssa, of Benton, Louisiana; step daughter Jennifer Bell and husband Casey, of Jamestown, Louisiana; son, Shane Madden, of Bakersfield, California; son, Reed Madden, of Bakersfield, California; sister, Becky Allen and husband Don, of Doyline, Louisiana; sister, Norma Parker and husband David, of Coushatta, Louisiana; sister, Teresa Madden and husband Kevin, of Shreveport, Louisiana and grandchildren Eian, Carmen, Braxton, Asra and Lorrie and numerous nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents, Reed and Patsy Madden, of Coushatta, Louisiana; son Christopher Madden, of Portland, Oregon and brother, James Madden, of Ringgold, Louisiana.
Though David may have left this world, his laughter and love will forever echo in our hearts. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7
