Dave Wayne Morris

Dave was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma and grew up there on the family’s dairy farm.  He was one of four children born to Earl Grigg Morris and Velma Holt Morris.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob Morris, and sister, Gail Morris.

Dave is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lois Delony Morris from Ruston, LA; his two sons, John Wayne Morris and his wife, Stacey, of Skaneateles, NY and David DeWayne Morris of Winston-Salem, NC; granddaughters, Hannah, Calah, Moriah, Tarah and Ava; and numerous nieces and nephews, loved ones, and friends.

Dave finished college in Oklahoma and went on to become an accountant for many years. Later, he switched careers to outside sales for a local Shreveport truss company where he worked in the East Texas territory for 29 years. Through his work, he made many business connections and dear friends until his retirement in 2011.

Dave was a quiet man who loved simple pleasures, washing his cars, eating out, and spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by many.
