Daniel Burl Festervan, 45, formerly of West Monroe, passed away on February 21, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home. Officiating will be Todd Flowers, M.D.
Daniel was born in West Monroe, Louisiana on July 5, 1977 and graduated from Claiborne Christian School in 1996. He moved to Shreveport in 2008 where he lived on his farm. Having always had a love of animals, he adopted many cows, pigs, donkeys, and numerous dogs over the years. Daniel was a loving person with an outgoing personality and enjoyed entertaining everyone.
Mr. Festervan is survived by his mother, Delores Festervan of Minden; brother, Jim Festervan and wife Renee' of West Monroe; sister, Susie Festervan of Benton; nieces, Brooke, Bailey, and Emma; nephews, Dalton and Dylan; and fiancé', Heather Irion of Shreveport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Festervan, Jr.; grandparents, Deuard and Genell Meacham, Joe Festervan and Elsie Matthews Festervan.
