Stonewall, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Coy (Dusty) Evans will be 4:00 PM, Monday, May 27, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Buck Furlow. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 2:00 PM until service time.
Dusty departed this life on May 25, 2013 at the early age of 55. The son of Coy and Martha (Easley Evans, Dusty was born February 17, 1958 in Panama City, FL. He worked for Blount Brothers Construction as a heavy equipment operator. But really, he was a jack of all trades.
Dusty is proceeded in death by his mom and stepdad, Martha and Donald Bennett, his daughter, Samantha Lynn Cole, his grandson Daniel Thomas Evans and his grandparents Covey and Gracie Easley and Dewey and Mary Evans.
He is survived by his dad Coy Evans, Sr. of Fort Smith, AR; his wife, Dorothy (Dottie) Evans of Stonewall; two sons, Dewey (Rusty) Evans of Shreveport, and Michael Evans of Killeen, TX; two daughters, Amanda and husband Mark (Bud) Ward of Blanchard and Kathy and husband Robert Dunn of Haughton; daughter-in-law, Katrina Rovell Evans of Shreveport; two son-in-laws, Donald Highley of Auburn Washington; and William (Ben) Cole of Shreveport; two brothers, Terry Evans of Polk City, FL and Charles (Chuck) Evans of Shreveport; four sisters, Donna Merritt of Polk City, FL, Vicki Henning of Fort Smith, AR, Linda Hastings of Polk City, FL and Martha (Marcie) Dockery of K-Ville, FL; 10 grandchildren; two brothers of his heart, Joe McGuffie of Shreveport and Terry Carr of Bossier City; five adopted children; and numerous nieces and nephews and countless family and friends.
