Cody J Kassebaum

With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son, husband, father, and friend to many Cody James Kassebaum on 21 September 2022.

Cody was born on 18 November 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduation from Roy High School, Cody went into the U.S. Air Force to train to become a member of the Security Forces. Because of his deep love for dogs, he furthered his training to become a K9 officer. He served his country stationed at Little Rock, Hill, Lackland and most recently Barksdale Air Force Bases.

Cody is survived by his wife Milagros “Giz”, children Griffon, Evy, Gwen, and Phynlie, parents Jay and Christy, Sisters Rachel and Shaina, honorary brother Patrick and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held October 3, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home located at 5865 S 1900 West in Roy, Utah with viewing beginning at 12:00 p.m. and remembrance beginning at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that anyone attending the celebration of his life, please honor wishes and wear Alabama Crimson Red. Additionally, in lieu of flowers, please honor him by making a donation to ‘warriordogfoundation.org’ to help give our four-legged military heroes the retirement they deserve.

A reception will follow the service at Lake View Ward, 4900 South 2000 West, Roy, UT 84067.  

Cody deeply touched many, many hearts in his short time with us and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Sweet Prince with your loving Grams and Grandpa. They have ‘your six’ now.
