Bossier City, LA Funeral services for Clara Harrison Emory age 90, of Bossier City, will be held on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Boone Chapel of Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Rev. Tom Smith, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Coushatta will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, Louisiana.
Clara Harrison Emory died peacefully at the Cornerstone Hospital in Bossier City on November 11, 2006. Clara Lee Harrison Emory was born on February 22, 1916 in White Rock, Texas. She lived in Malvern Arkansas for several years and moved to Hall Summit, LA, and then made her home on Bossier City, LA. Clara was content to be a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Dora Harrison, husband Earl Emory Sr., sons Dayton Emory, Phillip Wayne Emory, Roy William Emory, and Larry Ray Emory. One daughter, Betty Lou Gumm. She is survived by her sons, Lewis Earl Emory Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Bismarck, AR, Wilmor Emory and wife Nancy of Keithville, LA, Carl Emory of Bossier City, LA, David Emory and wife Elaine of Princeton, LA and a special son-in-law, Ron Gumm of Harleton, TX. She is also survived by her daughters, Mary Moseley and husband Walter of Hall Summit, LA, Shirley Wilkinson of Bessemer, AL, Linda Wall and husband Eugene of Granbury, TX, and Faye Banks of Hereford, TX . Sisters, Frances Hughes and husband Doyle of Amity, AR, Evelyn Burton and husband Clinton of Amity, AR and 30 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 32 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Kevin Moseley, David Lee Emory, Tim Goodman, Sean Banks, James Goodman, and J.D. Rachal.
