Shreveport, LA ? Funeral service for Carolyn Sue Thomas will be 10:00 AM, Monday, July 26, 2010 at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Dana Casey, Chaplain with Willis Knighton Hospice. The family will receive friends at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care Sunday, July 25, 2010 between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00 PM. As a child care provider, Sue became affectionately known as MaMa Sue to the many children she lovingly cared for. Carolyn Sue was born to Elsie and Joseph Rothenberger January 10, 1949 and passed on July 20, 2010 surrounded by her family. Preceding her in death is her father, Joe Rothenberger and daughter, Connie Dans. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 32 years Kenneth Wayne ?Pop? Thomas; sons, Jeff Thomas and wife Debbie of Haughton, LA and DeWayne Dans and wife Tammy of Benton, LA; daughters, Dee Dee Taravella and husband Bo ?Joe? of Haughton, LA and Stephanie Graham and husband John formerly of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, Makayla, Trenton, Austin, Caitlin, Jack ?John Boy? and Jessica; mother, Elsie Rothenberger; sister, Jackie Smith and husband Charlie; special niece and nephews; and dearly loved neighbors the Dominoes. Acting as pallbearers are Mike Echols, Dana Bruhnke, Ben Bruhnke, Zach Bruhnke, Bill Henderson and Rick Hill. The family would like to thank Dr. Yorek and Willis Knighton Hospice for the special care and compassion.
