Bobby R. Forbes

Shreveport, LA- Funeral Services for Bobby Forbes, age 80, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Mike Hudspeth of Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church of Shreveport and Brother Elzine Strong of Diboll United Pentecostal Church. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Vivian Cemetery, in Vivian, LA. Mr. Forbes went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2008. He was born August 16, 1928 to James and Willie Mae Parker Forbes. Mr. Forbes served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He sang with the Army Choraliers while stationed in Germany, and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Mr. Forbes was a member of the Life Tabernacle Church of Houston as well as the Diboll United Pentecostal Church. He was a talented characture artist and loved to put puzzles together with his wife. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 51 years; Ruth Forbes, two sisters; Doris Faye Strong and husband Elzine of Diboll, TX, and Betty Sue Murphy as well as several nieces and nephews.
