Beulah Mae Holt

Beulah ‘Bue’ Mae Holt was born august 18, 1924 in Provençal, Louisiana. She went to her Heavenly home greeted by many family on May 28, 2021. Services will be officiated by Brother Lane Moore and Woody Janise. Visitation Friday June 4, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Boone Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Boone Funeral Home. Proceeded in death by her parents John K and Beula Foster; brothers, Loy A Foster, WG "Bill" Foster; sisters, Roberta Lucille Laing and Peggy F Gallion; daughters, Sandra P Holt of bossier City, Cheryl " Cherry" Payne of Shreveport; nieces, Billie Cook, of Natchitoches, LA and Judy Brister of Baton Rouge. Beulah married her sweetheart Truman ‘ST’ Holt in April of 1944, in their 48 years married, they had 2 children- Cherry and Sandy. Truman and Beulah also raised two great grandchildren - James and Michelle Lane- for which we are forever grateful. Bue graduated from Northwestern State University with her education degree in 1953, then completed a Masters’ Degree in Education in 1969. She taught first grade at Plantation Park Elementary for 42 years-her entire career. She even went back after retirement to sub. She is a charter member of Waller Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school for many years, leaving her mark on everyone she met. She was passionate about sewing - she hand made 100s of baby blankets for families in her church. Survived by brother Johnny Foster; grandson, Todd Payne, Dallas; great grandson, James Lane, (Glynda) of Walker, LA; and great-granddaughter, Michelle Lane (Garrett) of Bossier City; great-grand babies, Riley, Indie, Dave and Jenner; and also her four fur babies. Also, thanks to Christus Hospice and their amazing staff and care shown to Bue in her final days-Denise, Emily, Debbie, Chaplain Woody, Lynnette, and Dr Robert Massingill.
