Graveside Services for Mrs. Betty Schumann Dozier Cox will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Forest Park Cemetery East. Officiating will be Bro. Bob Moore of Community Bible Church. Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, 3903 Meriwether Rd. Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Cox went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 5, 2007, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Averett Dozier Jr., infant son Kenneth Wayne Dozier and son Timothy Martin Dozier. She is survived by her husband of 41 years Marion D Cox, four children: Sherry Dozier Warren, Charles Averett Dozier, Donna Cox Britt, and Lynn Cox, 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and one brother: Charles Schumann and wife Glenda. Mrs. Betty Cox was a Christian woman and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was a life long resident of Shreveport and helped preserve history through archiving home front war efforts of World War II. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
