August Eugene Hayden

August Eugene Hayden "Gene" or "Gus" died at VAMC May 25, 2014 after a long illness. He leaves behind his daughter Cheryl, granddaughter Denise and great granddaughter Katelyn Mila. His wife of 49 years, Mila died in 2001. Gene lived in Bossier city since 1970. He retired from the Navy, USAF and later the VAMC. He had many friends at " The Camp" , VFW and Fellowship United Methodist Church. Gene was very proud of his service to his country through 3 wars and his service with the Bossier Sheriff's Posse. He was a proud Mason and Shriner for over 45 years.
