Ann Hooker, 80, was born in Texarkana, Arkansas to Jack and Irene Hopkins. Ann went to her Heavenly Home on September 9, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Ann began a life of care giving of others at the age of 13, due to the death of her mother. In 1958, Ann married the love of her life, Glen. Together they raised three children, whom they adored. For over twenty years, she devoted her Sundays caring for babies in her church’s nursery. After her children were grown, she cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren of which she adored. Her home was known for the loving care she gave everyone.
Preceding Ann in death are her parents, Jack and Irene Hopkins, granddaughter, Kelly Wilson; brothers, Bill and Donald Hopkins; and sister, Retha Gregory. She is survived by husband, Glen Hooker; children, Julie Wilson and husband Christopher, Misty Miller and husband Terry, and Jeffrey Hooker; grandchildren, Kimberly Wilson, Carrie Wilson, Christopher James, Jacob Hooker, Katie Thomas, Haley Alford, and Jeremy Miller; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen Lansdell, Carolyn Rymer and husband Jackie, and Ginger Elliott and husband Ken, numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Robin at Willis Knighton Bossier.
Ann was blessed with a loving heart that touched so many during her time with us. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
