Angie EcElroy passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at the age of 57, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer in her home in Haughton, LA. She was born on November 7, 1964, in Delta, UT to her parents Thayne and Erma Maxfield. She was preceded in death by her dad and her son Brandon. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald McElroy; her daughters, Laura McElroy and Jennifer Enderud, and son-in-law, Michael Enderud, and step-daughter, Crystal Mayo of Concord, GA. She is also survived by her two brothers, Shawn and Kean Maxfield, two sisters, Tracy Benson and Jolene Fritzges, and six grandchildren, Kendall, Claire, Cattelaya, Alexis, Clark and Bralyn. Angie served in the U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Manager from 1986 to 2010 and achieved the honor of the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who she loved to spend time with RVing, cruising and traveling around the world. The family would like to thank friends and loved ones who helped us through this past year. Angie will be greatly missed.
There will be a viewing Friday, September 2nd from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. An additional viewing will be at Olpin Funeral Home, Friday, September 9th at 1:00 PM followed by a graveside service with military honors to be held at the Delta City Cemetery in Delta, UT at 2:00 PM.
