Whilman George Sheets was born in St. Amant, LA on February 17, 1918 to Jacob and Addie Little Sheets. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who served his country honorably for twenty-two and one-half years, attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Whilman was a pilot and continued to serve, after his retirement from active duty, becoming a volunteer in the Civil Air Patrol's search and rescue squad.
Whilman leaves to mourn his passing, Margie Sheets, his loving wife of 31 years; his sons Glen Whilman Sheets, Ronald Wayne Sheets and Kim Ray Sheets, as well as his daughter, Brenda Sue Sheets; his step-son Mark Anthony Johnson, step-daughters Sonya Martel Aurelius and Lewellen Dianna Kidder and by his brothers Roland Sheets and Kerney Sheets and his sister Joy Soileau.
Whilman was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Harold Dan Sheets.
