Sumitra Ramniklal Shroff

Sumitra Ramniklal Shroff passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at home on the evening of 3/18/2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on 1/26/1923 in India. Like many women of her generation, she selflessly dedicated herself, first to her parents and siblings and then to her husband and three children: Dr. Pankaj Shroff, Vibha Gandhi, and Dr. Hitesh Shroff. For the past 25 years, she has been living in Shreveport, with her daughter, Vibha Gandhi, her son-in-law, Dr. Raj Gandhi, helping to care for their three children. She was always vigorous, active, and devout and put the needs of others before her own. Seventeen years ago she was preceded in death by her husband. She leaves behind her three children and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier on Airline Drive on Tuesday, March 22nd, at 11:30 AM.
