Funeral services for Robert L. Johnson will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 18, 2010 at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care, 3903 Meriwether Road, Shreveport. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery West. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Goetjen. The family will receive friends at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care on Friday, June 18, 2010 between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00 AM. Buck, 81, passed away peacefully June 11, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was a quiet, simple, hard working, country man that loved his family and always put them ahead of everything else in his life. In his spare time, he loved to play pool and go fishing in his favorite fishing hole. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vada and Otis Johnson; son, Little Mike Johnson; and sister, Dorothy. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life and wife of 57 years, Dorothy Johnson; children, Beverly Robbins, Kathy Brown and husband Frank, Robert ?Peanut? Johnson and wife Cathy; grandchildren, Lucy, Sheri, Teri, David, Frank Jr., Robert Wayne, Ricky, Ricky, Jr., Deana, Billy and Christopher; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Pearl, Betty Jean, Evelyn; brothers, Buddy, Alle n and Larry; and numerous other family members. Pallbearers will be Robert Johnson, Frank Brown, John Florom, Allen Johnson, Troy Myers, and Kenny Leckie. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Bayne, Jim Lemley, Buddy Johnson, and Larry Johnson. Buck touched many people during his life and all who knew him will truly miss him.
