Robert E. Bakalis

Shreveport-Robert E. Bakalis,81, formerly of Lambertville, MI, passed away July1st complications of Parkinson's Disease. Bob was born September 24,1934 in Tiffin,Ohio. Surviving are his wife Gay, of 58 yrs.,four sons: Michael(Pam) Ottawa Lake, Mi.,R.James(Mary),David(Tammie),Daniel all residing in Shreveport, Six grandchildren : Joshua(Jessica),Philip,Katie,Lauryn,Jessica,Lynsey. Also surviving his brother, James(Peggy) of South Rockwood, Mi. Preceded in death by his sister Martha Carn(2014). Bob was a salesman most of his life, owning a couple of different businesses. Later working with his son David, who owned an insurance agency in Shreveport. Robert dedicated his life to his Heavenly Father Jehovah in 1950. He remained active as one of Jehovah's Witnesses his entire life, witnessing to others of the good news found in the scriptures. Also serving decades as an overseer in the congregation. He will be dearly missed by family and friends, both in Toledo,Ohio and Shreveport La. area. He was easy to approach, and would always lend a listening ear. Memorial service arranged for 6:00 pm.
