O. Rivard

Shreveport, LA ? Orville George Rivard, 77, of Shreveport passed away January 5, 2013 at Willis Knighton Pierremont. Born December 18, 1935, in Newberry, MI, he was the son of Alex and Leona Revord. He was married to his wife, Mary Helen Rivard, for 57 ½ years. They were married on May 30, 2955, in Shreveport, at Parkview Baptist Church. He was a 21 year retiree from the USAF and a retired employee of General Motors. He was preceded in death by two children, son, Charles Anthony Rivard, aged 5, and his daughter, Carlotta Annette Rivard, aged 14. Surviving and left to mourn his death are his wife, Mary Helen Rivard of Shreveport and one son, Gary Edward Rivard, his wife, Takako Rivard, and one very special grandson, Franklin Rivard, all of San Antonio, TX. Also mourning from out of town, are his visiting special sister and brother-in-laws, Willis and Lois Trawick, of Sutherland Springs, TX. Also surviving him is a sister Luella Kerridge of Fennville, MI and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. Burial will be at a later, undetermined date in Newberry, MI at Forest Home Cemetery where his children are buried. We will all cherish his memory and love him always.. Rest in Peace?
