Nathan Daniel Bowman of Haughton, Louisiana was born on October 24, 1983 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Susan and William S. Bowman, Jr. and passed away on June 8, 2020.
Nathan is survived by his mom and dad, his brother Ryan Bowman and wife Heather, his sister Natalie Bowman Lavergne as well as nieces; Savana Bowman, Rachel Banda and Elizabeth Lavergne and nephews; Gage Bowman, Elijah Banda and Nicholas Lavergne. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory many aunts and uncles, cousins, his beloved pet, Coal, and many close family friends.
Born with severe earthly disabilities, Nathan’s life expectancy was anticipated to be only hours long. However, fortitude, strength and endurance combined with the power of God allowed Nathan to live happily for 36 years surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Nathan made friends everywhere he went. He loved attending school and graduated from Parkway High School. He loved to collect anything Coca-Cola, going to the rodeo, watching football with his dad on Sunday’s, his mom’s chocolate Kahlua pie, a McDonald’s #3-NO PICKLES, Reeses peanut butter cups and Coke Icees. Nathan didn’t let his disability hinder him from having opinions, joking around with you or show his love for you and his smile would light up a room. He was a vibrant soul here on earth and we were privileged to spend time with him and marvel at his courage throughout the years. He came into this world as a miracle and left this world as a miracle. A special person, a special face, someone we loved deeply and can never be replaced in our hearts.
A Mass will be held to celebrate Nathan’s life on Friday June 19th at 11 am at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bossier City, Louisiana. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to Shriners in Nathan’s memory.
