Nancy Toddy

Nancy Lyn Synco Toddy, 42, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away Friday March 21, 2008 after a long fight against ovarian cancer. Nancy was born June 10, 1965 to Ray and Ann Synco, and raised in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Nancy was a member of the church of Christ. She was baptized into Christ and remained a faithful Christian for the rest of her life. Nancy and her family are members of the Carriage Oaks congregation in Bossier City, LA. Nancy graduated from Stuttgart High School in 1983 and attended the University of Central Arkansas where she earned her BS in Nursing. Upon graduation in 1988, Nancy worked for 15 years in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. While with Baptist Hospital, she earned her Critical Care RN license. While working in Memphis, Nancy met and married Jay Toddy. They were married in Stuttgart on April 14, 1990. Nancy was preceded in death by an infant son, Ryne Jeffrey Toddy, and her father, Ray Edward Synco. She is survived by her husband, Jay Toddy, daughters Emily Faith and Shannon Elizabeth, of Bossier City, LA; her mother, Ann Synco, sister Carol Heien, of Stuttgart, one nephew, and two nieces. On behalf of Nancy, her family would like to thank some special people for being part of their lives, especially during the last 3 years. A word of love to Renee Hatcher of Cordova, TN and Tammie Myers of Covington, TN. They were, and are, Nancy's sisters and walked every step of the way with Nancy and the family. Thank you to Jennifer Lee of Stuttgart for her enduring love and faith. And thank you to Ammer Gayle Whatley of Odyssey Healthcare, and all the others with Odyssey that touched Nancy and the family during her illness. Visitation will be held at the Stuttgart church of Christ on Monday March 24th from 4pm to 8pm. The funeral service will be held at the Stuttgart church of Christ on Tuesday March 25th at 10am. Graveside services will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery, Stutgart, AR. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice, Stuttgart church of Christ, P.O.
