Marion Joe Fisher

Bossier City – Marion Joe Fisher, 80, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018.  He was born July 1, 1937 in Boonville, Indiana to Sheldon and Minnie Fisher. 

Joe had a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force.  His tours of duty concentrated in Europe where he met his wife, Elfriede in Germany.  Elfriede and Joe were one day shy of 60 years of marriage, as their anniversary is April 12th.  After retiring from the Air Force, Elfriede and Joe settled in Northwest Louisiana. He enjoyed playing golf, building remote control airplanes and boats. 

Joe is survived by his wife Elfriede; daughters, Sherry Scarlett and husband Wallace, and Joann Ferguson; son, Tommy Fisher; grandchildren, Abbagail Scarlett, Christopher Michael  and Wesley Spardling, Lindsay Beason, Erin Ferguson, Alexa Fisher, and Zack Fisher; and several great-grandchildren.    

A private service will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
