Major Pyles

Funeral services for Major Dickson Pyles will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Louisiana Funeral Care, 3903 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Slaughter. The family will receive friends at Louisiana Funeral Care on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Major proudly served his country in the Air Force and Marines for 21 years and enjoyed being a Mason serving his community. He was also an avid horseman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Ruby Pyles; wife, Kinue Pyles; sister, Evelyn Stewart. He is survived by two sons, Ernest Pyles and Ronald and wife Melissa; five grandchildren, Joshua, Madison, Ashlyn, Olivia Pyles, Erin Habich and husband Casey; brother, Mike Pyles and wife Terri; and sister, Margie Fong. The family would like to thank Doris, Keith, Ammergayle and the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their love and care over the last several months.
