MSgt Gerald J. Flippo, USAF Retired Bossier City, LA A funeral service for Gerald J. Flippo will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013, 10:00 AM at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Bray. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Flippo was born December 22, 1931 in Bergman, AR. He passed away Monday, April 29 in Bossier City. He retired at age 39 from the USAF after 23 years of service and spent most of his retirement enjoying time with his family. Mr. Flippo was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Opal Flippo. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ada Procell Flippo; three daughters, Pam Brown and husband Stanford, Linda Soileau, and April Scallorn and husband Kenneth; one son Phillip Rand Flippo and wife Tammy; seven grandchildren, Angie Finley, Denny Lowrey, Jason Benson, Joseph Brown, Mary Brown, Renee' Oates, Nick Scallorn, Brad Breland, and Jesse Breland; and seven great-grandchildren.
