Louise Normand Dupuy
Bossier City, LA. Louise went to be with her Lord December 23, 2009. Born in Marksville, LA , October 3, 1912, she was 97 years old. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA. Entombment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery Number Two.
Visitation will be Monday, December 28, 2009 from 4 PM until 10 PM with a rosary service at 6:30 PM.
Miss Louise was a lifelong citizen of Marksville and a member of St Joseph Church in Marksville, LA. After a fall in 2006, she moves to Bossier City, LA to be near her daughter. Known in the community as a excellent seamstress and a talented quilter, she garnered several prizes, ribbons, and accolades through the years. She excelled in the craft of crocheting. She enjoyed the camaraderie of her friends and quilting partners who met regularly to produce beautiful and intricate quilts.
She was a nurturing and loving mother to her children. She was a thoughtful and generous woman who helped anyone who needed it. An avid reader, she cherished her books, which were a balm to her mind and soul.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Filmore and Rosa Normand; sister, Hilda Armand; brothers, Bascum Normand, Filmore Normand, Jr. and Merrick Normand; and her husband Norclay Dupuy.
Left to honor her memory are her daughters, Audrey Laborde, Bossier City, LA and Judith Wooley, Bush, LA; sons, Roy Dupuy, Shreveport, LA and M. Christopher Dupuy, Marksville, LA. She leaves behind seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Her family misses her and offers their prayers to her.
