Bossier City, LA - Louis "Lou" Squitieri passed away August 7, 2013 at home, after a long battle with Cancer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013, 10:00 am at Boone Funeral Home on Airline Dr. in Bossier City.
Lou was born in the Bronx NY, on March 10, 1953 and raised in Leona, NJ. Lou served in the US Air Force for 26 years and chose to settle in Bossier City. He was Worshipful Master of Blanchard Lodge, and in his spare time always worked to raise money for the First Masonic Dyslexia Foundation.
He is survived by his wife, Alison Squitieri; mother, Anne Squitieri; two brothers; Alan Squitieri and Joey Squiteri and wife Nancy; three sons, Ryan Thompson, Justin Thompson and wife Mary Jo and Steve Comer and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Madison Thompson, Aidian Thompson, Gabriel Albright and Adian Albright. Lou has a host of nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Squitieri.
The Family would like to to extend a special thanks to all of the brothers at Blanchard Lodge as well as Booth Lodge. A special thanks to the staff at Southern Care Hospice.
Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Musick, Russell Lillard, Danny Hebert, John Billie, Ken Willis, Mike Linton, Don Britton and Kevin Lacaze.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to the First Masonic District Dyslexia Foundation, a cause that was very close to Lou's Heart.
