Funeral Services for Mr. K. D. Wood, 85 of Bossier City, LA will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City. Visitation will be held at 1:00. Mr. Wood passed away December 2, 2012 surrounded by loving family. He was born June 14, 1927 in Coushatta, LA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the oilfield after more than 40 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bossier City. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Sybil and son Mike. He is survived by sons Larry Wood and wife Robin of Bossier City and Kevin Wood and wife Colleen of Sylacauga, AL. 6 grandchildren, Ben Wood and wife Pepper of Bossier City, Matt Wood and wife Brandy of Bossier City, Christopher Wood and wife Kerri of Sylacauga, AL, Kalea Sloan and husband Chris of Hayden, AL, Brandon Rawls of Bossier City, Blake Rawls and wife Tabitha of Bossier City and 8 great grandchildren, Joel, Austin, Kady, Carson, Nolan, Bailey, Emily, Owen. The family would like to express thanks for the care Mr. Wood received at the Louisiana War Veteran?s Home and Willis Knighton of Pierremont.
