Joan R. Navarre

Joan R. Navarre was born in Detroit Michigan and passed away peacefully in Shreveport on July 28, 2017. Graveside services for Joan will be 11:15 AM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Rose Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. The family will receive guest between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home. Joan was a strong Christian belonging to the United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, she lived in many places but settled in Shreveport to live with her daughter. Preceding Joan in death is her husband, Greg Navarre; daughter, Sandra Ostrander; and son Kenneth Pearson. She is survived by daughters, Donna Hunter of Shreveport, Karen Hanson of Coeur d'Alene, ID, Denise Knowlton of Howell, MI; son, Paul Pearson of Murfreesboro, TN; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and her dearest and close friend of over 70 years, Jim Russell. I won't ever forget your love, patience and kindness.
