Funeral services celebrating the life of Jesse Wayne Loos, 63, will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Louisiana Funeral Care in Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Dr. W. D. ?Step? Martin, Pastor Emeritus of Calvary Baptist Church. Following the services, interment and memorial services will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. The family will receive friends at Louisiana Funeral Care in Shreveport from 6-8pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
Mr. Loos was born in Yoakum, TX on May 18, 1945, and went to be with his Lord on October 18, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. At 18 years of age he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base, where he met and married the love of his life of 41 years, Arlene Oglesby.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Arlene; two daughters, Pam Shankle and husband David and Kerri Sweatman and husband Ken; grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Shankle and Madeline and Kace Sweatman; sister-in-law, Shona Thomas; brother-in-law, Ross Oglesby, all of Shreveport; mother, Lucille Cavass and one brother, David Loos, both of Edna, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Earnie Fegley, David Loos, Jr., Harold Porter, Art Ruggles, Jerry Stogner, and Mac Ward.
