J.C. Graves

Bossier City-J.C. Graves, Jr, 83, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2015. Funeral services for J.C. will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, April 17, 2015 at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Randy Harper of Bellaire Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive guest on Friday from 11:00 to service time. J.C. proudly served in the U.S. Air Force 22 years, 6 months and 23 days attaining the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was awarded the following medals: Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with 3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Korean Service Award, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Commendation Medal. He is survived by wife of 62 years, Helen Graves; daughter, Gail Chandler and husband Bruce; brother, Elmer Graves; and many other family members.
