Memorial services for Frieda Sanderlin, 81, will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville. Services will be conducted by Rev. Matt Rawl of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Frieda was born December 31, 1927 in Munich, Germany and became a US citizen March 1975. During her working years she worked at the Ventura, CA County Government Center in the Flood Control Department. She also served as Chaplain of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1679 in Ventura CA. While living in Shreveport she was a member of VFW Auxillary Post 4588 in Bossier City and Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Frieda passed away July 4, 2009 and was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Raymond ?Al? Sanderlin of Shreveport; sons and their wives, Hansi Frenka and Ilona, Rudy Frenka, Eddy Frenka and Bridgette, all of Munich, Germany, and David Sanderlin of Durango, CO; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters and their families in Germany, Agnes Kohler, Maria Horch, and Johanna Baltes; brother-in-law, Bob Sanderlin of Shreveport; nieces and nephews, the Myatt family of Dallas, TX, the Sarvary family of Tallahassee, FL, the Despot family in Lafayette, LA and Birmingham, AL, Houston and Dallas Texas. Mr. Sanderlin would like to thank all the doctors, nurses that helped Frieda with the West Nile virus. Also thank you to Southern Care Hospice for taking care of Frieda in the end. She is with Christ in her eternal rest.
