Frank Melton

Benton, LA - Funeral services for Frank Melton will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 5, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Kirkeby of Airline Church of Christ. The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier between 5:00 and 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 4, 2014. Mr. Melton went home to be with his Father in Heaven on May 1, 2014. Frank was a member of the Bossier High School Band and changed the trombone. He remained friends with many of his high school friends. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Robert Seth Melton; mother, Laura Melton; sister, Candice Hancock; and son, Karl Lawrence Schroeder. Frank is survived by his wonderful wife of 41 years, Verline Remedies Melton; one son Kenny and wife Brenda; their children, Brandon and Makayla; and grandson, Kristopher; four daughters, Saundra Melton and her daughter April, Linda Cox and her children Cynthia and Michael; Vickie Holbrook and her children, Robert , Adam, and Karla; Charlotte Schroeder, and her children Jacob and his wife Jamie, Jessica and Lawrence; nephews Robby and Mike; special nephew, Cary Walker and wife Leta and son Tyler, and 11 great- grandchildren. The pallbearers will be Cary Walker, Karac Contreras, Johnny Remedies, Brandon Schroeder, Joseph Madrigal, and Tom McLeod. Honarary pallbearers will be Tommy Mancuso, Wayne Hammic, Richard Rebouche'.
