Eva Cook Davis

Eva Cook Davis was born December 5, 1954 in Elkhart, Tx, to the parentage of the late Reverend Robert L. Cook Sr. and Fannola Barnes Cook. She moved to Dallas , Tx with her family in 1964. Eva graduated from South Oak Cliff H.S. in 1972.

        In 1973, Eva married Abraham Grace and to that union a daughter was born. After divorcing she later met Thomas Davis and they had a son. In 1993 Eva accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at St. Matthew M.B.C. She was preceded in death by her parents Reverend and Mrs. Robert L. Cook, brother Robert L. Cook Jr., sisters Willie Warren and Minnola Waldrop.

         Eva lived a fairly pleasant life with her 8 children, 6 adopted and 2 biological. She leaves to cherish her memory; 2 sons Timothy Grace and James Johnson and 5 of Dallas,Tx and 5 daughters; Denica Merritt ( John Merritt), Gale Birdow, Chancy Lockhart,Pauline Parker, and Norvetta Smith all of Dallas, Tx. A special mention to her son- in- law John Merritt, who took care of her until she transitioned from this life to Go be with God on August 13, 2020.  She also leaves 2 brothers; Allen Cook and Phillip Cook , of Dallas , Tx and 2 sisters; Regina Smith and Cecil Cook both of Dallas,Tx. 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
