Doyline, LA - Edward Lawson Brown, age 74, of Doyline, LA went to meet the Lord on October 31, 2011. He was a dedicated husband to his wife ?Bernetta? whom he loved very much. Ed was a loving family man to all his children and grandchildren.
He retired from Shreveport Tom?s Sales but grew restless and went to work for Residence Inn which he enjoyed tremendously. He worked there until his passing. His favorite hobby was fishing with his family, which included one adoption Bob (Cigar) his best friend.
Ed was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jesse James and Lena Brown; brothers, Glen Brown, James Strickland, and Eugene Woodal; sister, Charlene McCullough; his daughter Cathy and his son Elmer Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife ?Bernetta? of 52 years; his daughters, Debbie (DWayne) Gilbert, Pam Corbell, Doris (Danny) Hodges, Cathy (Billy) Fields; sons, Edward (Juanita) Brown, and Johnny Brown; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister Evelyn (Doug) Miller; along with nieces, nephews, plus all of his friends which he loved dearly.
A special memorial service will be held at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 4 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 3 PM.
