Dorothy Basco

Bossier City—Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy F. Basco will be held Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Boone Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. Mrs. Basco, 79, was born the 11th of 12 children in Doyline, LA to Jesse N. and Lizzie Martin. During her marriage to Col. Johnnie M. Brasco, she lived in numerous locations around the world before settling back in Bossier City. She passed away Sunday surrounded by her family at her residence after a length illness. She was an active member of the Bossier Council on Aging. Preceding Mrs. Basco in death are her husband, Col. Johnnie M. Basco; sons, Michael Wayne and Phillip Eric; and daughter, Sarah Lyn. Surviving her are her sons, John Marvin Basco, Jr. and wife Cindy, and Stephen Ray Basco and wife Wanda; grandchildren, John M. Basco, III, Michelle L. Basco, and Shane W. Braley; grandchildren, Samantha Diane, Tabitha Ann, and Jazzmend Marie Braley; and sisters, O'Neal and Irma. Boone Funeral Homes Bossier Chapel 742-5361
