Donald James Kall (Don) was born on May 16, 1950 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and passed away on February 1, 2019 in Benton, Louisiana. He graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1968. His first job was working in his parents’ grocery store, Kall’s IGA Foodliner. He joined the United States Army and served from 1969 to 1972. After his military service, Don became a carpet installer, a trade he worked for the remainder of his working career. Don enjoyed traveling, playing video games, and visiting with his friends and his daughter. He especially loved eating at his favorite local restaurant, Sue’s Country Kitchen. Although he spent much of his adult life in the South, he remained a loyal and avid fan of his home-state NFL team, the Green Bay Packers. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Marion Kall and his childhood friend and longtime companion, Susan Kubasiak O’Malley. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Walker, of Bossier City, Louisiana; his brother Gerald Kall and his wife, Nancy, of Tomahawk, Wisconsin; nieces, Amy and Trina; nephew, Luke; and friends. A military flag ceremony and memorial to honor Don will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.
