Master Sergeant Denise M. Gipson was born in Huntington Park, California on 12 July 1973.
After graduating from Sandusky High School, Sergeant Gipson enlisted in the Air Force on 6 October 1992.
After completing basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and completing technical training as an inventory management specialist, Sergeant Gipson was assigned to Castle Air Force Base, California in January 1993.
Sergeant Gipson held a wide variety of positions within the supply career field throughout her distinguished career of 23 years. She was instrumental in managing, administering and operating supply systems and activities in order to provide the necessary equipment and supplies for Air Force operations. As part of the largest supply operation in the world, she was responsible for managing the complex logistical puzzle of getting the "right thing to the right place at the right time".
Sergeant Gipson served various assignments to include: Repair Cycle Support Apprentice, 93d Supply Squadron, Castle Air Force Base, California; Mission Support Apprentice, Vehicle Support Journeyman, Tanker Supply Support Journeyman, Flight Line Mission Support Journeyman, Stock Control Journeyman, Supply Readiness Technician, 22d Supply Squadron, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas; Supply Management Craftsman, 653d Combat Logistics Support Squadron, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia; Assistant Noncommissioned Officer In charge Aircraft Parts Store, Assistant Noncommissioned Officer In Charge Mobility Readiness Spares Package, Noncommissioned Officer In Charge Receiving, Noncommissioned Officer In Charge Mobility Readiness Spares Packages, and assumed responsibility as the Noncommissioned Officer In Charge Inventory Section, Material Management Flight, 2d Logistics Readiness Squadron on 15 October 2015.
Master Sergeant Denise M. Gipson left this life on 23 November 2015. She will be dearly missed by her husband J.P., her mother Sharon Lawson, her children Tiffany, Bryan, Joshua, Chayton, Danielle, and grandson Westin, as well as countless other cherished family members.
A Funeral Service will be held at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City on November 27, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
