Deanna Ruth Mulhair McGill

Deanna Ruth Mulhair McGill, 80 of Shreveport LA passed away on Friday November 8, 2019 after a lengthy illness.

Deanna was born July 14, 1939 in Huntington Park, CA. She was the only daughter to Charles and Madeline Mulhair. From the age of two she was raised by her mother and Aunt and Uncle Ruth “Jody” and Charlie St. Pierre. She was the apple of all their eyes.

Deanna attended and graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1957. She was Vice President of the Phoenix Society and Secretary/Treasurer of the Ticketeers.  She attended Long Beach State College.

Deanna met the love of her life Robert “Bob” McGill in 1958. They married November 4, 1961 in South Gate CA. They remained married till Bob’s death in 2016. They had three children, Michal Ann, James and David.; three grandchildren, Bobby, Joshua and Madison; two great granddaughters, Makaylah and Saige.

She was a stay at home mom for many years. She was very active in her children’s school as a room mother, PTA President and also in higher levels of PTA.

She then took secretarial jobs, and had many adventures with her coworkers, which included trips to Las Vegas and many Halloween Parties.

In 1983 they left their lives the California for Shreveport LA.

Deanna loved being with her family more than anything. She loved her soap operas....ALL of them. Loved going to the movies every Saturday afternoon. She loved all animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Robert McGill.; parents Charles and Madeline Mulhair;  aunt and uncle,  Ruth and Charles St. Pierre.

Deanna was survived by her children Michal Ann McGill, James McGill and David McGill and girlfriend Serina Tucker; grandchildren Bobby Jagers, Joshua Jagers and Madison McGill; and great granddaughters Makaylah Jagers and Saige Jagers.
