Funeral services for Christine T. Knotts will be held in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 10:00 am. Officiating the service will be Mr. Mickey Lewis. Graveside services will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery, Ashland, LA. Ms. Knotts passed away on June 30, 2007.
She was born on June 27, 1927, in Chestnut, LA. Ms. Knotts took great pride in being a homemaker for many years, and then went to work at the Shreveport Council of Aging. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and going fishing. Ms. Knotts took every opportunity of enjoying the outdoors while working in her garden. She was known throughout Shreveport, especially the Highland neighborhood, for feeding the homeless.
She was preceded in death by her husband Orie Knotts, her parents and a great grand son.
Surviving her is her loving soul mate of 30 years, Troy Driggers; her 12 children and their spouses: Rodney & Martha Knotts, Randall & Fe Knotts, Maxie & Mickie Knotts, Larry & Connie Knotts, Miron & Glenda Knotts, Mark Knotts, Carl Lee & Betty Knotts, Lisa & John Gentry, Rickey & Michelle Knotts, Wanda Knotts & Bruce Mauldin, William & Sue Knotts, Thomas Knotts; brothers & sisters: Dorothy, Averil, Jim, Bonnie, C.D., Loretta, Gary, & Pat; 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, & friends.
