Catherine May Maddox Fowler

Benton, LA--Catherine Virginia May Maddox Fowler was born on August 25, 1940 in Mt. Ida, AR to Lester Rufus and Lillian May Maddox. She passed away in Benton, LA on May 10, 2008. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and infant sister. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, T.P. Fowler; son, Douglas E. Fowler; daughter, Melissa M. Flores; grand-daughter Carmen M. Fowler; grandson, Dustin S. Fowler; brother, James R. Maddox of Austin, TX; sister, Jackie M. Maddox of Benton, AR; several nieces, nephews and close friends. T.P. and Cathy were married on December 23, 1958 in Benton, AR. During their life together they traveled many places. She spent most of her life taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy, writing poetry and sewing. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 202 and of La Femmes. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 9:30am at Boone Funeral Home with Carl Barr, American Legion District Chaplain officiating. Interment in the Sweet Home Church Cemetery near Prescott, AR will take place Wednesday at 3:30pm. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
