Barbara Jean Williams Bossier City, LA A service for Barbara Jean Williams will be held Monday, July 30, 2012, 10:00 AM at Boone Funeral Home , Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Beadle. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, June 29, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Mrs. Williams was born and raised in Vivian, LA. She went to be with her Lord July 26, 2012 in Bossier City. After marrying, she was a lifelong resident of the Shreveport Bossier area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Benton. Mrs. Williams was active in the community through her church and other organizations. She was a very loving housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 55 years, Louis Eugene Williams, Sr. Surviving her are her sons, Gene Williams and wife Julie, and David Williams; a daughter, Diane Connell and husband Richard; six grandchildren, Eugenia Williams, Billy Barnes and wife Jennifer, Brittany Barnes, Jessica Williams, Lee Stutts, and Brooke Williams; three great-grandchildren, Gavin Williams, Jadon Grant, and Riley Barnes; sisters, Betty Fontana and Glory Flores; brother, Roy Lee Idom, Jr. and many other relatives and friends. The pallbearers are Lee Stutts, Billy Barnes, Lee Thomas and Leland McNabb.
