Barbara Mae Marlowe

Barbara passed away on September 24, 2017 in Longview, Texas. She was 86 years old. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on October 21, 2017 at First Christian Church, 2205 Shed Road in Bossier City with Vance Stinson officiating. Barbara was born July 23, 1931 to Al and Opal Lindsey in St. Louis, MO. Barbara married Robert Marlowe on March 13, 1948 and had 3 sons. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert to whom she was married for 66 years. Mom is survived by 3 sons: Mike and wife Pat, Steve, Chris and wife Cindy. She has 6 grandchildren: Marc, Evan, Michael, Michelle, Ryan and Matt. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Anderson and "sister" Jan. Mom enjoyed golf at Northwood and Hot Springs Village, watching baseball and football, and playing cards with all her friends. Mom had a gift of making everyone feel at ease around her. She was a positive person and rarely had anything negative to say. She loved her church group and traveled often to be with them. Mom will be deeply missed by family and friends. She is a special person who cared more for others than herself. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. God has blessed us with your life. Donations can be made to Church of God International.
