Alvin E. Raiford

Bossier City, LA Services celebrating the life of Alvin E. Raiford , 79 will be held Wednesday, Oct 23, 2013, 10:00 am at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Brown. Interment will be at Florien Cemetery at 1:00. The family will receive family and friends Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Alvin was born on August 12, 1934 and went home to be with his Heavenly Father October 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Louie Raiford, infant son, Louie Alvin and brother, Melvin Raiford. Left to cherish his precious memory is his daughter, Connie Raiford Eckert, son, David Raiford (Kellye). grandchildren, Brandie Eckert, Ashley Eckert, Adam Eckert, Rachel Raiford, Rebecca Raiford, Michelle Lee, David Wilson, special friends Merle Grant and Marilyn May and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was happiest outdoors, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Honoring Alvin as pall bearers will be David Raiford, David Wilson, Tim McGriff, Karry May, Zach Massey and Jay Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Eckert and AJ Hardy. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church in Peason, La.
