A memorial service for Labriska Shaffer will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Fillmore Baptist Church, 6304 Highway 80, in Haughton, LA 71037. Officiating will be Brother Skip Rainbolt. Labriska was born on May 16, 1967 in Shreveport, LA and passed away on November 6, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. Labriska has joined maternal grandparents, Winston & Leona Townsend (Granddaddy & Granny); paternal grandfather, George Cole (PawPaw); her mama, Ruth Ann Simpson; step-dad, Jerry Simpson; daughter, Krystyna Ruth Shaffer and father-in-law, Luther Shaffer. Left to cherish wonderful memories are her husband, Ronald Shaffer; son, Dusty Shaffer; sister, Rachel Cole; dad, Ralph Cole; step-mom, Janet; niece, Chelsea Cole; great nephew, Aiden; great niece, Kenzie; mother-in-law, Joanne Shaffer; several uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous other family members and friends. Labriska fought a very courageous battle for fifteen years, with a rare condition called "Merrf Syndrome". Her daughter Krysty also had the same condition.
